A former school in Latvia, this project is based on a competition to rehabilitate the site and turn it into a museum for the horse. 
This building is composed of one floor and an interior and exterior extension. There is not only a museum in this building but also an education centre for the younger ones about the culture of the country. There are also rooms on the upper floor, bathrooms and restaurants. The bottom floor is reserved for the museum and education and the top floor is a kind of small guesthouse.

It is built mainly from local materials. This is the importance of the project. The aim was to stay as much in the Latvian culture as possible.

Our concept is to create a sustainable environ- ment which respects the rules and standards of Latvian design by using locally sourced mate- rials. We want to juxtaposed the old and new design which will capture and frame the lands- capes of the surroundings which will highlight and immerse the visitors in its natural beauty. The idea is to create a safe environment which will inform visitors about the histories of diffe- rent breeds of the horses of Latvia by providing a outdoor space which will be the educatio- nal centre for children,adults,and tourists with a purpose, of a second life of the existing building this will enhance the charm and authentic cha- racter of Latvians historic materials . We wanted to design a new omuli museum in which histo- ry and future are bounded by timeless architect.
